This is an authentic full day experience. You start out with a boat tour in one of the most magnificent areas in the Faroe Islands. Surrounded by dramatic landscapes you cast your fishing line. Returning to the marina, some of your catch of fish will be brought to the local restaurant. While your fish is prepared, a local guide will take you to visit some local historical locations. Returning to the restaurant you will be served a wonderful meal.

You set out from the marina of Ljósá in the northern part of Eysturoy. You sail in a traditional Faroese boat – the utmost of Faroese handicraft.

You sail along the western shore of the Eiðiskollur. You sail by gorges and grottoes and, weather permitting, you sail towards the monumental “Risin og Kellingin” (The Giant and the Hag). Crossing the gulf, you see the picturesque village of Tjørnuvík.

You cast your fishing line, fishing with jig or bait near the seabed. You may encounter Atlantic cod, haddock, and several other species of fish.

Back at the marina, we bring some fillets from your catch to the local restaurant “Rose’s Café & Catering”. Rose will prepare a wonderful meal for you to enjoy after your guided tour in Eiði! Meanwhile, your guide takes you to visit the local church, the old private house of Anna Maria, the old grocery shop, Pállsstovuhandilin, and the village museum, Látrið.

Returning to Rose’s restaurant, you will be served a wonderful meal based on your own catch of fish!

Main course: Your fish of the day, pan seared with white lemon, dill creamy sauce, oven roasted potatoes and vegetables.

Beverages: Your choice from local beer, soft drinks and water.

Dessert: Cake with coffee or tea.

Tour information:

Small group tour: There can be up to 5 guests on each tour. The tour needs a minimum of 2 adult tickets to depart. By booking 5 tickets you ensure a private tour.
We can by request arrange this experience for groups of up to 15 guests in three boats, each with their own skipper/guide.
